I understand why you are so annoyed, of course as mothers we do not want to promote wrong impression to our kids. Nevertheless, I saw the book and it is not that bad at all, the title is just implying the wrong impression but the story is worth reading and there are lessons to be learned. I hope your child won't stop eating your yummy cookies. Wedding Fortune Cookies

Not that I'm the world's great expert or anything, but it seems to me that any relationship which requires you to shelve your principles is a relationship where you will end up giving everything and receiving nothing in return.

Now as we are people I assume that most of us if not all like respect and admiration. A lot of people like this from a lover too. However I meet so many men who are so vile that O feel rather discouraged. In the past, too, I have often thought a man better than he actually is. If he is interested in me he will often be on his best behavior and only if I get to know him a little bit he will reveal how he truly feels about women, which is often not pretty.
Nowadays I can often smell their disrespect from far away. I haven't been dating since I am feminist and have a lot more peace for it. However I would like to know if it is possible to date and not have to compromise on principles or have to walk on eggshells with your feminist believes around a lover (whether man or woman). How do you all here reconcile feminism and dating is what I would like to know. |

In case anyone still drives by here occasionally, and in case you hadn't seen this, a summation of the gender aspect of the US healthcare reform debate in about 30 seconds is here.

I would like my fellow americanistanians to read up on the difference between socialism and national socialism as they are proving Uncle Karl absolutely right about "the second time as farce" thing. Only like we're way beyond the second time now, ppl.
Also why do we insist on pledging allegiance to the Or should I just wave the flag at my Dad's phone book sized medical records, intone the pledge in the general direction of the Veterans' Administration, and it will magically all go away praise jeebus? |

The Media is still trying their best to turn it into a Hallmark Holiday. Oooh! We should design some cards! It's sort of like when my sister was in India, and a huge crowd of women came marching down the street shouting slogans, and she turned to the man standing next to her and said: "What's the march for?" and he said "It is Ladies' Day." |

On Sunday, 9 August we remember the South African women who marched to Parliament to protest against the Pass Laws.

It's Women's day, so take your wife breakfast in bed, or out to dinner. What crap. I heard on the radio last night "guys, it's all about the women this weekend, so be nice..." It's not about that. It's about women taking huge personal risks to stand up for justice and the overthrow of an oppressive regime. |

There is an episode 13 which will be available on the DVD (and then on the torrent sites). I think it's going to be aired at ComiCon this weekend too or something.

So did it end at episode 12, or is there really an episode 13 floating around out there somewhere?
